WFFE Student Environmental Stewardship Grant Program

Are you a high school student with a great environmental stewardship idea for your senior project? 
WFFE awards up to eight $500 grants annually to support student initiated or supported environmental projects meeting local community needs.

Get $500 for your high school environmental project!

 

WFFE hopes to encourage student participation in local environmental stewardship projects and enhance student understanding of community service and philanthropy. It is our objective to award multiple $500 grants annually to support student-initiated or student-implemented environmental projects meeting local community needs.

 

WHO may apply:             High school students in the State of Washington

WHAT to apply for:        Up to $500 for a student project

WHEN to apply:              WFFE accepts applications for stewardship grants between September and June

WHERE to apply:          stewardship@wffe.org or by mail (address below)

HOW to apply:                 Download the application form, fill out the answers, and e-mail it as an attachment or mail a hard copy

Please submit all proposals by e-mail attachment to stewardship@wffe.org or put a hard copy in the mail to WFFE Stewardship Grants, Attn: Thomas Condon, PO Box 2123, Seattle, WA 98111.  A WFFE committee will review all proposals. Please note that we intend to present the check to successful grant recipients in person and would like, with your concurrence, to have the award presentation covered by the press.

Here are few more examples from past awards:

~ Five Woodward Middle School students bought construction supplies for construction of a platform to protect Murden Creek.

~ An Enumclaw High School student used their grant and talent in a native plant nursery that supports salmon habitat restoration.

~ Two University Prep high school students applied their grant and elbow grease to the Green Lake habitat fence project.



 


A WFFE committee will review all proposals. The board will review applications between September and June. Review and notification may take up to six weeks. Please note that we intend to make the awards in person and would like, with your concurrence, to have the award presentation covered by the press.
